| 1984 – Present | In 1984, founded Galerie Sho Contemporary Art, the predecessor of Galerie Sho+1 Office. For over four decades since then, he has specialized in the works of California-based artists as well as leading figures of the 1980s New York art scene, including Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. In the 1990s, as an art gallery, he was among the first in the world to initiate original photography projects with Helmut Newton, and went on to develop numerous collaborative projects with European photographers. Guided by the principle of “balance and harmony” as the foundation of his gallery practice, he continues to present distinctive and unique exhibitions. |
