About the Gallery

Founded in 2017 as the successor to Galerie Sho Contemporary Art, Sho+1 presents works by both domestic and international artists of diverse generations through a unique curatorial lens, placing special emphasis on exhibitions themed around pop art and pop culture.

A gallery serves both as a venue for viewing and acquiring artworks and as a place of discovery and inspiration, offering insight into the creative processes and contexts behind the works and their makers. At Sho+1, we strive to provide an engaging space where encounters with art encourage visitors to broaden their perspectives.

Furthermore, we remain committed to promoting artists with a global outlook and to realizing collaborative projects with a broad spectrum of stakeholders in the art field. Through these activities, rich and varied dialogue is fostered, allowing Sho+1 to develop its gallery practice by drawing on its extensive knowledge and years of experience.
